Käthe-Leichter-Gastprofessorin SS 2022: Erzsébet Barát

Dr. Erzsébet Barát, since 2004 Associate Professor in Linguistics and Gender Studies at the University of Szeged, Hungary, and also visiting professor at the Central European University since 2000, holds the Käthe Leichter visiting professor's post in the summer term of 2022. 

She has published widely on diverse questions of language and discourse in relation to gender, ideology, identity and power, and also participated in a number of national and international research projects. At her home university in Szeged she leads a transdisciplinary gender studies research group, which has launched the annual international and interdisciplinary gender studies conference NYIM and publishes the first and, to date, only Hungarian journal in gender studies, TNTeF.
